a shop is sort of like planting a garden. Some things
work and some things don't.
You have to keep trying.
As you may know, Sagrada
began in 1994 on
what was then a very quiet 49th Street in Oakland in what
had been a horse stable
at the turn of the last century.
After three years, we took a bold leap and moved around
the corner onto Telegraph Avenue.
(Yes, there was a "procession" of all the statues
and icons from the old location to the new. People
did stop and stare!)
We are grateful for all the friendships that have grown
over the years, for you who
value the presence of the "Sacred" in the marketplace
and who sustain Sagrada
so it can continue to flourish.
What better way to celebrate
this 20th anniversary than to plant seeds!
At Sagrada this spring we are featuring Baker Creek Heirloom
Seeds. We have a small selection of vegetables and
a few flowers available. - Mary
