As we move into the final days of summer, whether taking up some new endeavors or returning to work or study, these words from Oscar Romero are at once a call to action and solidarity, both reassuring and inspirational.
This year, 2015, marks the 35th anniversary of Archbishop Romero's assassination during the Salvadoran civil war because of his unflinching condemnation of the suffering and violence against the poor. In May Pope Francis proclaimed his martyrdom a blessing for all who work in any way to advance the cause of justice. May his spirit accompany us all.
